ANKLE FOOT ORTHOTICS (AFO)
Without muscle balance in your lower leg it is very difficult to walk without tripping over.  An AFO is an Orthosis designed to improve gait and prevent falls.

An AFO will prevent and reduce joint deformity, improve muscle balance and ultimately improve your standard of living.  The Orthosis holds the foot and ankle in the optimum position, allowing the wearer a pain free, more natural gait.

The correct term for a lower leg support is an Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO).  There are a variety of AFOs available to provide control of your foot and knee.  The support provided will improve your balance, allowing you to walk better and for longer distances.

Leg supports are prescribed for a vast number of conditions. Click here to see which conditions we treat.
